Our son and America’s Finest Beverage Catering founder, Travis Livingston, was a fighter. Not that you would have known that from meeting Travis — he was quiet and humble, but also had a fierce sense of duty and honor.
He fought bravely in Afghanistan as a U.S. Fleet Marine Corpsman.
He fought to make peace with his new disability after he was injured in an IED explosion in Afghanistan.
He fought against an opioid addiction prescribed to treat his war injuries and PTSD.
He fought to save his own life, moving himself to Dallas to be with family and find a new community amongst our local DFW veterans.
He fought to start this business and create a space for all of his fun, smart, dedicated veteran friends to after they rejoined civilian life.
And even though we lost him to his fight against addiction in 2020, his legacy lives on through us.
That’s why this job is about so much more than catering.
It’s about honoring Travis’s memory by donating some of our profits to his favorite veterans organizations.
It’s about hiring Dallas veterans who need an accessible, uplifting way to share their military-trained talents like professionalism and hard work with the world.
It’s about helping you celebrate life’s biggest moments, just like Travis would have wanted.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you.
Joanna & Jim Cox
Travis founded America’s Finest Beverage Catering in 2018 as a way to help himself and other disabled veterans find purpose and make a little extra money in a fun, relationship-focused environment. He was a quiet and humble man who loved a good party and loved being involved in the veteran community even more. America’s Finest Beverage Catering is his legacy.
The Navy taught our owner, Jim, the values of discipline and hard work — two traits he brings with him each day at AFBC. When he’s not tackling the grunt work like hauling heavy boxes of liquor at the office, you’ll find him piloting commercial airline jets.
As the Executive Vice President, Joanna's wears many hats. When she's not working, she enjoys working out, bike riding and traveling.
• USMC
• 3 years of service• As a Marine, I take pride in my work as it is adirect reflection of the core values instilled in me. You can count on me to always help anyone in need without expecting anything in return. It is my duty to keep myself and those around me safe.
• In my spare time I enjoy running and working out. As a former boxer of 20 years I enjoy the physical challenges in the gym and in the boxing ring. Old habits are hard to break.• What working at AFB means to me is: During my time with the Marines I learned to value life, to grab every moment and live it to its fullest. To never complain about minor inconveniences because that’s just what they are, minor inconveniences. Every meal is a feast and every day is a gift. I am proud to work with a group of people who understand and value these principles without judgement. I take pride in bringing smiles to our clients as we provide a safe and energetic environment during our events. AFB is not working a job, it’s working with family
Hi I'm Brian. I served in the Marines. I really enjoy working or America's Finest Beverage Catering. They are great people whom I'm very lucky to call my friends.
My name is Cayla Newkirk and I am one of America’s Finest Bartenders. America’s Finest is more than just a business to me, it’s my family. This business was created by a very dear friend of mine. I have been with it from the beginning. I have seen it grow from the ground up. The values of this company, to honor and serve, are what I live by in my daily life. Honestly, it’s no different than my everyday job as a flight attendant. So whether I am in the sky or behind the bar, it brings me joy to serve the people. When I’m not flying, I enjoy a good run, traveling, or trying any new flavored pickled food.
Taking care of others is what it means to me to be working for America’s Finest specifically. My friend Travis started this company to take care of others, to provide jobs for veterans, disabled, and those struggling in life. And we continue his legacy in his honor, with the highest of standards, providing our guests with a warm and memorable experience every time. We are America’s Finest! My day job is a Surgical Technologist, assisting surgeons in the operating roomMy interests include playing with my son, outdoor activities, and working out

Americas’s Finest Bartending adds that extra sparkle to any catering event we attend! What working for America’s Finest Bartending means to me: My husband and I had the pleasure of knowing the late owner, Travis Livingston and seeing his vision for the company. After Travis passed, the entire adaptive community felt a little less bright without this presence and we gathered around Jim & Joanna to see how we could help.
